Your kids NEED you

Left out, left back, left behind with the sitter, the TV, the computer. In the empty house is an empty hearted child. Be right there, right back, right over is what they say and no one comes. I watch the children watch YOU, wait for you. They do not understand what all the GONE is about. They choose you as a parent with the hope it would be a good experience of being together, being good enough for you to pay attention and know they are special. Then you just stopped,  showing up, being kind and sharing your truth, telling them your stories. That is all they ever wanted. YOU, they need YOU, just YOU. Be there this holiday month, and with some effort to fill the heart of a lonely left out child you will find you fill yours too. Show up early, buy lunch, do what they like to do, listen to their music, go horse back riding with them, or skiing  or just to the park or the zoo. All they really ever wanted was YOU! The present the greatest gift of all, the holidays are really good time to just do it!
