Kindness above all

When we are stressed the first thing that seems to disappear are our manners. People get loud and pushy and say things and do things they wouldn't if they could see themselves acting out. Some people are so used to behaving that way it becames the way they are always and they end up alone and sad and confused. I see this in my work here and people regret things they have missed the chance to do with kindness. It makes them feel sick and tired. In trying to move ahead now, let's just try kindness. If we all acted like the good manners of please and thank you were honored we would have so much more here. Little things make all the difference, they are called random acts of kindness. I felt one coming on last night when I saw a group of ladies celebrating a birthday together, I thought I should order them a bottle of champagne. Pay for someone's meal, help carry stuff, offer support instead of advice. Do not it for them do it with them. Smile instead of stare, even if your eyes are surprised by what you see. Smiling is an exercise, practice it, over and over. When someone is rude to you answer back with I hope your day gets better, or like a did on the golf course once to a crabby golfer, I bought him a drink. He was moved. Learn to be kind all of the time and wow, will we have a nicer world. You never know what the impact is, or what another is going through, and the impact you leave should be one of kindness, even when it was not something that you felt kind about. Smile, you are on Universal Camera, and those moments will be in your life story!
