Riding Bareback on the Horse of Life

We teach riding at the ranch, bareback riding. WHY? Because when you get balanced and practiced and learn to use a 1,200 lb force of life to put you where you want to be as quickly as you choose - YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. You can learn to ride with a saddle and learn so much easier after this is accomplished. I teach this because to me it a course on life here. We are so much more powerful than we know or give ourselves credit for. We become small and fearful easily, insecure with our own strength. We are taught to conform to the will of others as if that is where you will find your strength. That is the bully mentality. With or against is the tactic, do as I say or else, you will be sorry if you do not. The real strength comes in the self, do what you do naturally, being who you are without comparing and saying your truth fearlessly. That is the force - life force. The note in the choir that is YOUR note to sing, many will sing the same note when they could be harmonizing instead! The outside is the easy part, the kids wondered the other day if the horses knew they were different colors, could they see that? I said they knew but it was simply for the beauty part it had nothing to do with the power and the grace and they are a team of unique individuals, working together in harmony. I love the lessons of nature, learning more each day and getting stronger and stronger with my own balance. Let's ride!
